If “Galaxy of Starts” means Great Assembly place for famous people, like you and me LoL!!, then Shakespeare’s famous quote, “What’s in a name?” Has proved to be correct once again, because these people are just not able to uphold the meaning…
The first time…
I went there two years back with “my fiancée” and three of “his friends”, on the New Year eve paying the nominal charge of Rs.500 per couple, which was reimbursable with food and drinks inside. As soon as we entered, we all felt it was a cool place with less and good crowd, great impressive lights, great music, good ambience and sufficiently spacious dance floor. What else do you want on a New Year eve?
We all just danced, ate and freaked out to the tunes of the DJs great music numbers. I still remember how the lights were put off exactly at mid night for a minute and the soft music, which was played, just for couples after that. And believe me the coupons which where reimbursable were just too much and we all had a perfect New Year eve…
If I would have written this review then, than I would have definitely recommended and given it a five star rating for standing at par with its name.
The second and probably the last time…
As we all know history repeats itself. Being highly impressed the first time, “We” (I and my dear Hubby) and three of “Our friends”, [see how things changes after marriage LoLzz] with the expectation of having the same freak out time went at the same place to celebrate this new year eve…
On entry paying the same nominal amount of Rs 500, which was an early bird prize for the first entry (yeah!! this time we were the first one to enter, for the rest the entry was for 600 Rs) we settled at a table and asked for the menu card. Getting the menu we all started to look for what has to be ordered, but we all ended up just staring at the prices, which were almost more than double the normal rates. Anyways, who cares about the prices on the New Year eve, the party has just started…
After having the bit of the little we could order from our coupons, we went to the dance floor. But alas!! What the hell is the DJ playing? None of us could get our rhythm to the tunes of Mr.Rocky DJ. Quite disappointed but having no other option, we just kept ourselves moving as though we were dancing. Finally it was just 2 minutes for the clock to struck 12 and god knows what happened to the DJ he completely stopped the music and started waiting for the 2 minutes to be over. As soon as the clock strike midnight, to our surprise all we saw was confusion on the dance floor and these nuts making everyone on the dance floor move aside for getting the new year cake to be cut. Hey bhagwan, that was the last thing we expected…
Quite disappointed we all went back to our table and ordered “tequila” just to get the Kick of the New Year ;o)… but “socha tha kya, kya ho gaya…” neither did we like the taste nor did we get the Kick :o( I guess the DJ finally noticed that the dance floor is empty and started playing good numbers of everyone’s choices and the dance floor was full with people enjoying, dancing and freaking out.
Anyways, The party was over soooon…
So!! Where are you planning to have “Galaxy of Stars” the next time? ;o)
