Gangster the movie is a bit different from the usual mahesh bhatt flick.the actor o\playing the main lead was relatively new but his acting in the scne where he gets caught , cheated by his beloved, brings tears to the viewers eyes.imran hashmi appearwed worse than the worst [not remotely related to his role in murder].
the songs were catchy, locations were also impressive .the story is depressing and the hero despite being a gangster wins the sympathies of the entire public when cheated by the heroine.
the heroine lead is found crying all through the movie and her scene with imran when she finds him cheating on her was not very impressive.
the last scene where the hero dies is the most touching.
the story overall is good and have worked better if the cast was chosen more carefully.sthis may be treated as a part of movies like company, vastav n hathiyaar.the plot is much better n stronger than the movies mentioned above as underworld dons r one of the hottest topic for most of the bollywood filmmakers.but the plot definitely needed a better treatment.the story line revolves mainly around three people, an attempt to save money on extra cast.it can be rated as an ART movie
