Yesterday I went to Garden Court for dinner, and I had to walk out because of the sheer apathy of the waiters and the manager.
There was a time when the restaurant was very good. It really has a good location and the food is nice... but the service is so bad that it is really not worth the effort.
Yesterday I went with my wife to the restaurant. There was not a single waiter/steward who showed us the way and made us comfortable at the table. In fact we walked in and decided on the table. Once we sat there, there was no water served or basically no acknowledgement from the staff that we were seated. Ultimately I had to tell the waiter to please serve us water and give us a Menu Card (5 minutes later). I had a quick glance at the Menu, and the prices were slightly on the higher side. Me and my wife then waited and waited for somebody to come pick up our order. I purposely did not call anyone as I wanted to see their level of service. After another 10 minutes, the steward came to our desk to take our order. I basically gave him an order that I wanted to see his manager.
I met the Manager (Mr. Chakravorty), and instead of apologizing for the poor service, he said that we were there only for 2 minutes and had just sat down at the table. He even started abusing me for no real reason. At that time, I was too angry to even talk or rather sit ... and I had to walk out of the place. I could not meet the owner (Mr. Shetty) since he wasn’t in yesterday, but I was very disappointed with the level of service. I am actually thinking of filing a consumer court case against these guys for the insults they meted out to me.
For now I must tell you ... please DO NOT go this restaurant unless things change for the better.
