Latest Update: I had a very horrible experience in Garden Court few months ago. I happen to visit GC along with few of my family guests. Total we were 8 people. As usual GC was crowded. We had to wait for 30 minutes. After that we got a good view table. It took 20 minutes to serve glasses of water and menus. We decided our drinks and starters, took another 10 minutes for captain to come to our table and note the order. we had already lost half an hour.
Drink were placed on our table after another 15 minutes but without opening the beer bottles. Waiter took more than 10 minutes to come up with an opener. mean time there was a serving table behind our table. we saw one waiter carries our starters and kept on that table. But for next 25 minutes nobody bothered to serve that to our table. we even intimated the captain that our food is kept on that table and please bring that to our table, he seemed very ignorant.
then some waiter came and started serving us the the frozen food (It was december). We simply said, its is chilled and it is lying there for half an hour, please get the fresh and hot one. the waiter was so arrogant, he bounced back shouting on us, "Aaphi kaa order hain, cancel nahi hoga, lenahi padega, and pay karna hi padega". hi accesnt was as if we are drunk since last many hours and we are unnecessarily making issue out of it.
We requested him, to get the captain, initially he was ignorant but after 15-20 minutes some other captain appeared. we explained him the story, he started claiming "Hotel staff is not full of fools to keep your food aside for 30 minutes, we alsways strive to serve hot and ASAP" we said boss you are not the one who had attended us since begining. so please call the earlier caption. He bluntly told, that caption is now taking care of other tables and I am on duty for this table. Meantime the same water started telling rubbish to this captiain, and also said, these people are trying tactics so they dont need to pay for the food.
I lost my brains then and there. I literally shouted so entire hotel should hear, "I said - get the hotel owner to me in next five minutes". Waiter said .......aeee tere jaise bahot dekhe hain. Captain again back to us said, meeting owner is not possible. you can leave a note of compain which will be passed on to him. I pester him a lot, finally, he agrred and got the manager.
We explained him the complete story of last 2 hours, he didnt even felt sorry and said, forget it, aur kya order loo aapka.
I had already had lost my brains, I told him that, "I want you, your captain and your waiter to say sorry in front of entire hotel". now I was totally shouting. Somehow manager managed to made his waiter to say sorry and very bluntly he said sorry. We setteled our bill of Rs. 850 without drinking a single sip of drink or single piece of food. when I left the cash counter, the waiter was standing nearby and he said, "Chalo niklo, bahot dekhe hain tumhare jaise." Even cashier shouted on him to be silent.
We left GC moved to Oasis, few meters ahead of GC and now decided to not to enter GC again..........

Garden Court is near Chandni Chauk at NDA road. It has tremendous ambience and a view of complete Pune. The entire place is really cool. If you have lots and lots of free time and patience then only you can enjoy this place. The food quality is average. It used to be the best once upon a time but now it is average. Service is tooooooooooo Slow. If you order rotis in second round, by the time rotis will come then another dishes will be freezing chilled. Even they take 15 minutes for getting the bill. (Tip: Please order everything at once to enjoy continuous food) This can be an ideal place for couples to spend a romantic evening at a romantic place. You will be lucky if you get a table near the compound wall or poolside. You can enjoy drink or meal with clean air and a night view of Pune city. (Nobody will bother you, even the waiters don’t.) Food cost is bit on higher side but for once in a while it is ok. If you are lucky then you might get good quality food. At Garden court I think, food quality depends on the mood of chef and cook.
