I purchased an AC from Snapdeal.com which was shipped through this Gati Courier. I normally receive any consignment from anywhere in India right on the 3rd day, ie. if shipped on Monday, I would surely receive it on Wednesday. This is the case for all shipments from any corner of India.
But this item was shipped on 1st April 2014 - check the attached tracking status from Gati’s site - assured for delivery on 7th April 2014. But no delivery had been made or even nobody contacted me. To my surprise, their site showed as the item was undelivered due to "Concerned person not available". I am the recipient and I was very much available in the same place where it has to be delivered. So, the Gati courier seems to be a cheating company.
The next day, after complaining to Snapdeal, somebody called me to say that they had some police problems in parking near my place. I offered to accept the delivery at some other location and even accepted to pay some amount for the additional distance. They never called me after that. When I called, they simply replied that they couldn’t deliver on that day and will be delivered on the next day. They don’t even have any courtesy to inform about it. They behaved very irresponsibly and put wrong information as "concerned person not available."
So, there couldn’t be another courier company in India worse than this Gati. Don’t accept if your seller wants to ship with this cheating company.
