First of all, Gati doesnt deliver on time.
I prefer Professional or local logistics to Gati. But seller insisted about safety of the product which he said GATI would deliver.
Result: Damaged delivery.
Customer response: Please read in detail. You might even find GATIs policies funny.
1) You complain on their website about the damage.(they have caused)
2) After 1 day they will call you and confirm about the same.
3) They will send a mail with list of 5 pdfs. You have to take print out of all the pdf. Fill it manually, Scan it and Zip the files with all your proofs and send it finally.
4) According to Gati when your goods are damaged, You have to go to repair, show your product(even if it weighs more than 50kgs you must carry), Get a review estimate(which hardly is given by any shops). Then scan the receipt and compress all the files(including one submitted before) and send them.
5) Imagine your order costed: 500 bucks. Courier carged by Gati: 800 bucks Damaged by GATI then you only get part of 500. May be around 300 or so. Now you have spent around 1300. You went around all the procedures. But the compensation(you MIGHT GET) is 300.
I had received an order from Delhi. It was delivered with damage so much so that I had to buy a new one. Now I lodged a complaint with Gatikwe. They asked to send numerous details about the product. Now the Mistake is of gati but the formalities has to be filled by customer which is pathetic as GATI would ship only after bill and declaration. Even after sending details GATI wants the repair estimmate. That means I should buy a new one and then produce the bill to GATI and then claim will be addressed. This is the worst policy of any logistics I have come across. One thing is my product is damaged, now I need compensation and then only I can buy a new product of same. These nonsense policies of GATI will sure result in negative response of many people. Learn to treat customers.
