Inspite of several warnings from MS and my other friends who had watched this movie earlier, I dared to watch this movie on my one and only weekend! As I am obsessed with ’’Factory Production’’. I really love the way Ramu picks the concept for his movies.
Ek hasina thi, Ab thak Chappan were mind blowing!...Ek Hasina is still on my mind...
When I heard about Gaayab I was wondering how this movie would have been done. The name itself was sounding so interesting! Upon that it’s a Factory Product. Who will not be tempted?
Finally, One beautiful weekend of mine got gaayab with ’’Gaayab’’. Believe it or no all my peace, patience, josh was gaayab in just 15 minutes of the movie. Peace lovers don’t like anything cranky. Any harsh sound gets them to their nerves. I am one of that kind. I will tell you what blows your ears and peace in pieces.
The lead role is being played by Tushaar Kapoor. Those who don’t know who is Tushaar kapoor don’t bother to know as he could never manage to give any hit movie. But I can introduce him to you as ’’the one and only TV Channels Soap Blockbuster’s(so called) producer, mentally dis-ordered sadist, (lot’s more you can add about her) - Ekta Kapoor’s (Spell Check, should be Kkekktha Kkaa-poor) brother. So you know who is it now. He is the one who goes gayab in the movie.
Antara Maali is supposed to be the heroine of the movie with whom vishnu prasad(Thushar K) is obsessed with. But Antara Mali is already having a boyfriend.
As such there is no particular story line for this movie. But still to give you all an idea let me cut it short. From society, from his most loved girl, the deprived hero complaints to God about his sorrow holding a statue. And he goes Gaayab! (wish I could , while watching this movie). What beautiful things a hero can do when he goes Gaayab.
But here the hero becomes a villain by doing bank robbery and what all nonsense.
When you watch movie you don’t understand which character you should support when suddenly the hero turns out to be a villain!....Wish Tushar never went Gaayab and ramu could do a better movie. I must say Tushar’s efforts are to be noticed in this movies compared to his other.
Antara Mali as she hardly knows any ’’acting’’ except for exposing was another flop character. And then Tushaar’s mother’s character - This is what mainly turned me down. What special effect have they put in her voice? She was sounding as if they have cut her throat into pieces and made her screem till death. As its a cranky character she’s making it worse
I wonder how did such beautiful concept came so stale out of Verma’s Factory. If you want to enjoy your weekend, play chuppa chuppi with your friends and family or go gayab on some holiday destination!...but don’t go Gaayab with this psychopath ’’Gaayab’’!
