I bought this GeePee Miracle 2234 handset on 10th of December, 2009 because GeePee is a local company, they are in a market for quite some time, thought they will offer good basic phone.
But what a shame, on the day of purchase this handset showing lots of problems. First, external memory was not showing. My dealer said after discussed with companys sales stuff - that a minor setting is required but it was never rectified. Second, fm tunning was not possible. Lastly, battery needed 6 hrs to get fully charged and discharged after 5-10 mts of total calling.
I understand, that set has that unfortunate problems, other sets are good. But the behaviour of company sales stuff was amazing.
My dealer asked them to come and exchange that set with a new one. But they refused and tell me to contact service dealers for the problems. Just imagine, u bought a product, on the day of purchase it had shown some problems, dealer is accepting this and want to exchange, but company sales person says due to imei problems, this set has sortage of supply, so they cant exchange and advised me to go to the service centre.
If I pay some extra, and go for a other GeePee set, then also they cant exchange that because as per the policy, I can have that same set only - thats what they said. Even money refund was also not possible. When I insist, then they received that set(after 3 days) and told me, they will give me a brand new set within 24 hrs. but I & my dealer, waited for them for 7 long days and then my dealer personally exchange that handset with onida G490.
My dealer is a local person whom I knew for years. Imagine if I bought this handset from somewhere else, then what happened with me?
That set has so much features. But if the after sales service is this type, then who will trust brand GeePee?
