Here is a review of a movie Ive watched quite recently.
Geetha Govindam: We are at first introduced to the actors with a cameo by Nithya Menon, to whom the hero Vijay Govind( Vijay Devarakonda) narrates his issues. Being a college lecturer, he is a typical youngster with dreams of getting married to and settling with a level-headed woman like the heroine ( Rashmika Mandanna) Geetha.
Story takes turns as Geethas opinion of Govind gradually changes from a compulsive flirt to a responsible gentleman, owing to the fact that she is repulsive with strangers.
Though the post-interval sequences seem like mis-directed and second half plot twists seem unconvincing, we are not let down because of the romantic and decent avatar of the hero, the prejudiced composure of the heroine, beautiful music by Gopi Sundar and humour at its best
The wafer-thin plot is salvaged with humour and the presence of Vijay Deverakonda giving his best performance with his catch word madam, and being a quintessential gentleman, who is in great form. Watch him trying to stay calm masking all the frustration when he’s congsistently at the receiving end of Geetha Rashmika, for the most part, is required to look grumpy and tge redeeming scenes come towards the end where the director avoids the melodramatic tropes and does something interesting with the characterisation of the heroines brother( Subbaraju) and Vijays friend ( Rahul Ramakrishna) .
