I wouldn’t say that I happened to just’stumble’ on the site and then discovered what good it could do. in fact, I was searching for some particular review and the first search on google landed me on mouthshut.
the reviews that I read were very useful indeed. that just gave me an idea about why I couldn’t write one myself. also at that point of time, I had all the time in the world to pass and i’d seen a couple of films that I thought about very strongly. so this site gave me a very good forum to express myself.
now i’m slightly busy but I still find time to read some reviews every week and that gives me a good idea about a lot of stuff around. I must say that some people who write are quite close to being professionals(may be they are). its also nice to know others’ views about something you’ve written about, about how they choose to express it differently.
the best thing is the fact that mouthshut gives you practically every category you can review and also provides the flexibility to create new ones.getting feedbacks about what you’ve written also helps a great deal(especially if it happens to be things like- that was a great review!).
what I fail to understand however is why the site has been named so wrongly; there’s nothing about the site that makes you shut your mouth. in fact, it gives you an opportunity to open your mouth wide and proclaim to the world what you feel about something or someone. the only expalanation I can find for the name is that it makes other people shut up.anyone listening?please tell me if this explanation makes sense.
this is one place where I can blabber all my views and not worry whether they’ll be accepted or not, whether they’re right or wrong or whatever doesn’t matter really.
honestly, here you can be completely bindaas and can shut others mouths if you want(by writing very disgusting reviews about them).
