General thoughts about Mouthshut.com
So I have already mentioned the title of my review above. Do not expect it to be a high quality, hard hitting and neatly written review. Its been a long time, I have written a review and I am writing this one to keep me going. I am actively involved in RRCing some of the finest reviews on MS today, but writing a review is a bit difficult these days.
So why to waste time, lets start guyz.
What exactly is https://mouthshut.com. target="_blank">https://mouthshut.com ?

MS was started as a consumer interaction site in which the end consumers can directly express their views, experiences with products and can provide suggestions. Gradually it took a different shape and also started providing comparison between products thus transforming itself into a site which contained complete information for the end consumer thereby reducing his time in exploring the market for the details. Thus a person looking for anything can log into mouthshut, read the reviews on the desired commodity, compare it with other options within its class and then make up his mind about the same.
So this was the basic concept of MS. Now the question arise, why did it became such a huge hit? Answer is simple, it was the first of its kind. Rather, it is the only site in India which is completely consumer driven. As they say, higher risks, higher gains. Mouthshut has gained a lot by this new concept.

I have invited 10-11 friends to MS. They became members, joined MS but they are yet to create their profile and write a review. Now what does this signify? It signifies that not everyone who joins MS carry it forward. Only people who are interested in writing something on anything, take it as a challenge and a new interest builds in them. I still remember my initial days when I was so amazed by MS that I was writing 3-4-5 reviews in a single day. My intensity was such high that our very own S. N. Daya pointed this out in one of his review. It was all because the writer within me suddenly awakened, he was hungry and his hunger could only be solved by writing reviews one after another. A person who has a writer within him, will always love and will be active at the forum.

After writing around 25-30 reviews, I decided to slow down. Not because my reviews were not being read, or the interest of other fellow members was less in my writings, but I wanted to improve. So I decided to take a gap between each review, which was initially 1-2 days, and to read and rate as many reviews as possible so that I get to learn different styles of writing, different ways to express the similar feelings and to read what people thought about the commodities on which they were writing. Size and length of review does not matter a lot to me. I believe that a review should atleast do justice with the title of the review. I have rated many a reviews which did not require me to press any page down key as very useful, on the other hand, I have rated many a gigantic reviews as somewhat useful and useful. I believe in Whatever you write, write from the heart philosophy.
What I want to express is that a somewhat older member at MS looks for good reviews, he enjoys them, rates them and wait for some more good reviews to come.

Yaaron yahi dosti hai. In the due course of time, a person gains popularity among a good number of people. He has made a lot of friends in his journey of 3-4 months at MS. Then he looks to carry this newly formed friendship further. I know many a people by their name now, the condition in Dec. was that I only used to know their MS ids. This newly formed friendship results in consultation for anything possible. I consulted Mayank – matwalaboy many a times to get his views on my writings. He suggested me to change my topics as I was too much involved in writing reviews on music.
Many a people also look for some good discussions and debates here. One of my close friend Ratnakar – indian1969 enjoys discussions a lot. It is his passion and knowledge which he imparts in the discussions, which keep us all going. I still remember, when Mayank messaged me on my MSN saying that “Boss aaj to haath thak gaye likhte likhte”. This sentence of his immediately followed “Lekin mazaa aa gaya”. This is called the sheer passion for good discussions.
My memories with MS.

Thanks to all my friends here, I apologize for not writing your names as I may run out of space, I feel MS as a family now. I know most of the prolific writers here and look to read their reviews again and again. There are some writers here who can give a run for money to some of the most prolific journalists. There are some writers which are not so popular here but I love their reviews for some reason or the other. One of such highly talented writer is Saurav – saurav_ssk. The knowledge which he imparts in his reviews is simply great.
My most memorable moment at MS has been when I read the last (150th) review of Maddy (madlalya). I felt really touched. Its been more than a year, he has left MS. I sent an M2M to him asking his whereabouts and expressed my feelings about his review. I was deeply touched and surprised when he replied me back the next day saying that he decided never to return to MS as he was highly busy with his career in music, but he replied to my M2M only because he felt nostalgic and touched. Now this is the power of MS. I am looking forward to write more reviews and enjoy MS for as long as possible.
In the end I would like to thank everyone who keeps me going. Thank you all, without your help, this review of mine would not have been possible. Thank you Ekta, Mukul, Mayank, Shabaz, Rupesh, Ratna, Daya Sir, Nishant, Prasiddha, Fenil, Jeeta, Aditya, Saurav, Megha, Abha, Anton, Anusha, Chandra, Pras, Nikunj, Teny, Mausam, Anuj and everyone who has helped me to grow and mature at one of the phenomenal site – https://mouthshut.com.
