Everyone says Mouthshut is great, cool, happening.blah, blah, blah.and everyone says its good, and I have a disease of saying what no one says. So here is the flip side of the coin, why Mouthshut is not so good.
Because I cannot concentrate on anything else for too long as long as I’m connected. Worse, I have a free access and the Mouthshut page is open all the time and my one eye keeps a track of all the new coming reviews. I love reading all the reviews(and rating only a few, coz I cannot decide) and I cannot do my job properly. Its an addiction worse than the worst drug.
Coming to rating/commenting, it again hogs a lot of processing area of your brain, once I rate a review as a non HR, I have to come back and read it again to check if the writer has made any improvements. Even after too much of thought, I’m always left with an guilty feeling not giving enough reasons for my rating. Write a comment and I have to come back to see if it has been replied to or not. Considering that all the members have some or the other major time job, avoid rating and commenting reviews on mouthshut, your boss only needs to find out to fire you out.
Finally about writing reviews, this is the worst part. One review and you come back again and again and again and again.just to check out the rating!, the comments!
And then spend hours sulking/enjoying for a not-so-great/great rating. Then reading the comments and replying to them. I don’t need calculate the total time wasted to say it is colossal.
And I rest my case.(Btw while you read this, i’ll read just a couple of new reviews.i hope nobody minds!)
