It;s a view of a man who is one of those whom I respect the most, he has a great sense of humor, he is my ideal and these views are not basically mine but he taught me in first meeting, when he was interviewing me for my first job, It’s dedicated to him
I am a computer graduate from Chandigarh. Three months before I was looking for a job. I was interested to do a job in Delhi. One day, I got to know from a placement agent that there is a company which is looking for a boy, who can represent their company in Chandigarh. There I met him first time. In the interview he asked me many questions but in between he gave me an example and said “There are two lines DAL MAKHNI is on first line, Salary which we will give you is sufficient to get it, But if you want to eat BUTTER CHICKEN then you have to cross first line; These words changes my life. This is a real management skill. It shows that, if you wants to achieve more than what you have than you have to put more effort.
Today, I am working as an area sales manager for this company in Chandigarh, doing hard work and no looking behind and trying to cross first line. But this job is tougher than the toughest and when ever I loose my patience he gave me strength. He chats with me like a friend. He has a real management skill where he is leading me but not dominating.
I remember when for the first time I was feeling disappointed to not to getting orders and was trying to tell him but hesitating than he sent me a SMS stated ;There is no right time for a wrong thing and no wrong for a right one” on 22nd of October 2002 at 21:01. It shows he cares for his employees.
I dont have a much idea about management but what ever I got to know is through him. For me he a management guru and I am very happy to have a boss like him.;THANKS TO YOU SIR, YOU ARE GREAT; and I have lots more to learn from you.
