Disc brakes_marvelous piece of Engg

You know what guys.i totally disagree to ur comments on Disc Brakes. Its kinda piece of Hydraulic Engg that changes the face of high speed braking.(Look at the Pros n Cons section)

Now skidding while applying brakes has nothing to so with the brakes itself. It wholly depends on how you applied the brakes and with what power.  The bike’s bank or the tilt also plays major role while sudden or powerful braking. Show me an instance where you applied brake quickly while turning and didn’t fall!

Yes disc brakes are much more powerful than drum and requires precise control while using. the general use of thumb is to use both brakes while stopping under any conditions.

In fact, while collision avoidance, you’ll have to use disc brakes(if available) to stop quickly. Now this doesn’t mean that you have to skid and fall:)

Since disc brake contributes to 70% of stopping power, this clearly indicates that drum or rear brake will contribute less while stopping.

This boils down to the fact that front brakes must be used in proportion to the rear brakes to stop even while casual stop or collision avoidance manoeuvre.
