We need bike for day to day life for traveling purpose as cities are growing larger and the we have to travel a bit more distance to reach our destination. As a regular commuter I would like to share my experience regarding purchasing a new bike.
Most important of all is your budget and your usage.
We need to first clarify that for what purpose I have to purchase a bike. Means whether I have to travel daily long distance or short distance. Whether I have to drive in city only or out side the city.
If you are going to drive mostly in cities and dont go for long ride occasionally. Then you should go for mopeds. Since moped are free from gear shifting and cities are crowded these moped are easily to ride.
If you have to travel daily in long run and outside city they yiu should go for bike.
For me mileage is very important. Since I have to travel daily 70 km I had purchased bajaj platina 100 Es for just 56000 on road price in dec 2017. Now prices may vary.
Students of today like to purchase power and styling bike. These bike dont have mileage and are high on Maintainence.
Purchaseing a bike is an investment that dont come with returns. You have to invest daily for petrol and monthly Maintainence.
So you to choose as per your convenience. Lots of models are available but brand is always helpfull. Hero, honda and bajaj are ruling markets and have all tupes of models for all requirements.
