From Camera Obscura to Camera Digital is the history of the spectacular developments in Photography. This history is very exciting to read, and extremely interesting to appreciate and understand each stage of development. The Camera Obscura is a pin-hole camera. As a matter of fact, all the Box Cameras and even the Compact Cameras are improved varieties of pin-hole cameras. Camera Digital is the latest development in Digital Photography. You do not need a film for a Digital Camera. It takes the pictures and immediately the pictures can be seen and edited, and fed into a Computer, and e-mailed, if necessary. Marvellous. Isnt it ? The Digital Cameras are very expensive. There is a Digital device by which you can transmit the photograph from a conventional negative through your PC. If you have a Scanner, you can scan a conventional photograph, and send it by fax through your PC, or just store it in the Computer for future use. Equally dramatic developments have been made in conventional photography. All sorts of Cameras have been developed and marketed. Leica (German), Rollieflex and Rolliecord (German), Contaflex (German), Nikon and Canon (Japanese) are now the household names in Photography. Research and Development in Optics and in producing Films, both Black & White and Colour, have given a wide choice for the Photographer to choose. Two world-class Photo Journals namely, Better Photography and The Times Journal of Photography are now published in India for the amateurs, advanced amateurs and professionals. Now it is the byers market in photography. Happy Clicking.
