CELL is a HELL if u don't handle it WELL..

This is the place, the abode I was looking for to pen (oops....its been ages since I used a pen, should rather say ’key in’) my thoughts regarding cell phone usage.

The USP (if u may say so) of this opinion is that I don’t own a cell-phone (here onwards shall refer to it as C.P) and have hardly used others’. Then why am I here to give advice on cell phone???? That’s because I am planning to buy one in near future and before hand I have made few resolutions on how to handle the C.P. Life is too short to learn from ones mistake, hence decided to learn from others mistakes.

* First and foremost, God has given us (most of us) two hands , then why do we handicap ourselves by reserving one of them just for holding a mobile - whether its on road, in the bus, restaurant basically every where, even though when its not ringing or u aren’t online.

Solution:

Place it safely in your hand-bag or attach it to a necktag.

* Imagine this scene (not a hypothetical one)

X meets Y. Both of them are talking but Y’s eyes are glued to screen of the C.P which he is holding in his left hand. Reason may be any of the following:

-SMSing to someone special

-Reading an SMS from the same special person

-Deleting the stored messages coz if X asks for the C.P and      and happens to toy along with the confidential                 well-guarded messages or so.....

-memorizing the phone numbers

-playing the brick game (snake )..

etc etc...

How would react if you were in place of X????

Solution:

Priority should always be given to the person(s) in front of you. You can always excuse yourself and continue with your so-called important work but puhhhhhleeeeeeeeeeeez don’t make others feel as if they are unwanted.

*Never cut a phone call. So, how do you avoid an unwanted call ????? Simple, keep the C.P be in vibration mode and let the call go on ringing. Or even better if u don’t want to be disturbed at all then do use the auto voice-reply facility. Atleast the caller will be assured that he is able to put the message across or atleast he is not being avoided.

Personally I feel if you cut the phone call, there are chances that you may cut off the relationship with the caller as well ’coz u never know what kind of person is on the other side and is in which mood....

*I have seen people much bothered about the currency. Most probable suggestion is to reply to the caller that you will be contacting him/her in some-time at the same number (if possible).

For all those who suffer from amnesia (partial or acute) or are day-dreamers (like me), its better if they don’t go for costly mobiles including CDMA technology ones ’coz how many of them can we afford to lose. Secondly, we can experiment a lot with GSM telephones by using different sim cards and narrowing down to the ones that suit us the most depending on our mobility and range of travel.

Finally would like to say that ’’Easier said than done!’’. Who knows in near future, I may inherit all the attributes that I hated most in the C.P users and tend to convince myself that ’’aaakhir main bhi insaan hoon and tend to do mistakes and its just natural and spontaneous reaction etc etc....’’. Right now, ’’kahney mein kya harj hai’’.

Lesson concluded.......
