External hard drives are very useful piece of equipment. Due to advantages like portability and operation on a plug and play basis it is the ideal choice for backing up and storing important date. People also use external hard drives to store their photos, videos and other personal data. The portability of external hard drives certainly brings much convenience in our daily lives. But there is one more thing that external hard drive is the most common storage media from which people lose their data.


Data on an external hard drive will be lost due to various causes such as simple accidental deletion, formatting, deletion of partitions, hard drive crash. All can lead to loss of data from the hard drive. Unlike regular PC hard drives, if you delete a file from an external hard drive, you cannot restore it from the Recycle bin. 4~ Connect the external hard drive to another computer as a slave.


5~ Plug in the external hard drive to another hard drive.


6~ Scan the drive and evaluate the recovery results obtained with the utility.


7~ Save the recovered data to a safe place or drive.
