Stained tiles??

Since I moved to bangalore, I found myself entering the world of house cleaning where I never even thought of venturing into while I was staying with my parents!!

I stay in an independant house somewhere on the outskirts of Bangalore. The day I moved in, the place was pretty clean as it’s a new houe and I was the first one to occupy it. The hall has granite flooring, the bathrooms and the other rooms have proslain tilings. I never took much notice of them until they started getting stained. The bathroom had a leak .... this is took notice of only when the color of the tiles started to turn orange!!! they are supposed to be a bit off-white.

I scrubbed and scrubbed.... but these stains were tough...all that happened was that they simply stared back at me as if nothing had ever happened!! I decided to give them attention on my day off.

The day finally dawned, I was mentally prepared to keep all my fun aside and dedicate myself to clean the entire house. I started with the hall, moved on to the kitchen, the dining room and then both bedrooms... finally it was the bathroom’s turn. I took a break, smoked a ciggarette thinking of how to get those stains off. I was pretty sure they weren’t there before. I thought about hot water and lime, and all sorts of wierd things. I switched on the tube for a while. That was the first time I realised that the tube is not always the idiot box as reffered to.

The ad. going on was for bathroom cleaning. the product - Harpic!!

I looked with amaze and dicided to give it a shot, now harpic is used to clean germs and stains insided the toilet or throne as it’s called, but would it work on those stains on the tiles??

I got dressed up for the ocassion and first wet the tiles, with a mixture of Phenyl and water. I then applied harpic over all the tiles stained and let it be ofr about five minutes, I presume that was the time I took to smoke my next cigarette. After that, I simply took a bcket of water and splashed it on thm tiles. EUREKA!!!!! the tiles were as good as new!!!! I went bezerk!! I tried my new formula on the basin too.... on tiles which had oil stains...They shone like new!!!

The only thing you gotta know is that its kinda expensive doin that!! and you’ll probably end up smoking more than you usually do, but otherwise, you’ll have a stain free tile house.

This works, I suggest you should try it only with the tough stains!!
