Beware of small jewel thieves

It takes all sorts to make this world. Also, jewellry shops who claim to be open for generations together. It is quite an emotional moment when a mother takes her daughter for the first time to her jeweller and introduces the two. It happened in my case too.

One generation was taking over the other. Well nothing wrong with that although if one generation has been cheating the other one will follow as well. Sometimes you will be shocked to realise that the owners themselves are thieves. Can’t blame them as they have been doing it for so long that they npo long feel they are cheating.

The gold chain that mummy gave me turned a tad black. She blamed it on my sweating and wearing everyday to office. I had casusally gone to another reputed store (Tanishq) and bought another chain which I started to wear everyday. Nothing happened to that! So I asked why did that other chain turn blackish. On taking it to the Tanishq sales person , he observed that the gold was shortchanged but the money wasn’t. So much for the jeweller that my mom trusted. She refused to take the chaing to him. The rest of the jewellery also is from him! She did not want to acknowledge being cheated.

Tanishq  is genuine and now for the last 18 years and shopping in is international stores too I have benefitted.

Moral: Don’t get caried away emotionally. Trust your instinct and shop from a very reputred store like tanishq. I cannot recommend any other becasue I haven’t gone anywhere else now. Will write if I come across one. Thanks for your patience in reading this!
