So we say India is a’Free Country’ now - dont we? What does’free’ really mean?
In Mumbai, no one is allowed to freely celebrate on Valentine’s Day. The protectors of Hindu culture openly burn Greeting Cards, vandalise shops and beat up couples and restaurants on Valentine’s Day.
In South India, some film actress(Khusboo) dared to say that virginity is not important and were openly attacked by the media, politicians and common men alike. She was forced to apologize for her remarks and withdraw them.
The muslims are up in arms any time somebody recommends that they start using contraceptives .more often that not - politicians stay clear of such’controvertial’ comments. And to think they should be the leaders of men!
Anytime you sit in Chandi Chowk Pune, Central Park Kolkata or Juhu beach Mumbai and try to get cozy with you girl - there will be police on your back. As soon as you try to kiss your GF / wife, they will haul you up for’obscene’ behaviour in public. And ofcourse then demand Rs XXXX or they call your family! The same policemen will then go to a movie hall and salivate at the Aishwarya/Kareena/Katrina.
So who are these self proclaimed custodians of morality?
They are nothing but an useless bunch of men/women with no idea of pretty much anything! Ask them any questions on Indian Culture.they will be clueless. But some how they’know’ that it is not correct for any Indian girl to be in a miniskirt, a guy to kiss his girl in public or to give flowers to a girl!
To top it all, the Indian Police is ok with all this. They actually support this behaviour. Why? Thats becuase they will claim if girls behave’decently’ - crimes against women will go down.
*Can any MORAL POLICE then explain why girls dressed in Salwars / Sarees / Burkhas are raped/ molested everyday in India? Why is a lady in a’decent’ dress touched/ rubbed against in a train or a public bus? If they are dressing so decently - they should be totally safe, isnt it? *
*A RAID to Remember:** This is a true incident that happened to my friend. My friend in his 30s and his girl were sitting in a public park in a warm summer afternoon. They were dressed casually in a shorts/T Shirt and his wife was in a T Shirt and short skirt. The day happened to be Valentine’s Day and it was about 7 PM. Suddenly he saw a group of guys in their 20s charging to the park and started rounding up couples. Panicking, most of the couples started running here and there.but were caught by the men. Then they simply made the guys stand in a line and slapped them one after another for violating "Indian Culture"(including my friend). They started abusing the girls verbally - specially the girl’s who were in skirts and Jeans calling them all sorts of names.
Horrified and enraged, my friend called out to a policeman standing closeby. The havaldar walked up and abused my friend and saying **’If you have so much pride, why do all this? Dont you have the money to take this girl to a hotel & enjoy?. "
IT WAS THEN MY FRIEND REVEALED THAT HE WAS ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER OF POLICE OF MUMBAI(ACP) and the girl was his WIFE!
The havaldar was suspended next day! The men who were till now abusing, were put behind bars for the night!
*So the MORAL POLICE were taught a valuable lesson that they will remember!
