Robbing consumers

I placed an online order for insignia deodorants on 28 July 12. Order was confirmed on mail and mobile with delivery by 04 Aug 12. After waiting till 10 Aug, I checked status online and found order has been cancelled arbitrarily.


Snap deal did not bother to inform this and refund the money. It is clear breach of contract.  On checking with customer service, I was casually told it is out of stock. Money will be sent to credit card..a/c . There may be hundreds like me whose money has been kept by snap deal. It looks to be a scam of using customers money  and refunding on making complaints.


Why they did not inform out of stock situation before delivery date . Why was order confirmed to me when it was out of stock. Why was this product displayed on web. They should be taken to consumer court for breach of contract, immaterial of amount involved. Customer service is extremely bad in handling complaints and refuse to give name and contact of their superiors.


Will never buy anything from snapdeal and advise others also to be aware of such online shopping website, who are cheating customers with false promises and collecting money without fulfilling their commitments.
