Indian railways is the largest rail network In the world!
It is well managed and operated.i agree that there are always delays tondue some reason and some long distance trains have stinky toilets.
But now a days this problem has been rectified and bio tiolets are been put up in all the trains.
Advantages of taking the rail:
1) safe, very safe! .just be careful of your luggage by putting a chain lock.
2) covers almost every part of india.
3) Easy to book tickets online through the irctc website or I would recommend using the irctc connect which is the official app to reserve your tickets.
4) you can even reserve tickets from other apps such as paytm, goibibi.
Disadvantage:
1) cleanliness is still not upto the mark.
2) There are several delays everyday.
3) You have to do you reservation well in advance to get a confirmed ticket.
4) Almost all trains are overcrowded.
Well, indian railways has been putting its best efforts to improvise and run such a huge network!
