Crystal, a small, old world restaurant, which serves, best of the north Indian foods, there’s to offer.
If you are driving on Marine Drive, Mumbai, you are sure to miss it. You will need to be careful of the landmark when you reach Crystal. The restaurant is just before Wilson College, when you approach towards Malabar Hill from Nariman Point.
When you enter the restaurant, you might mistake it to be a college canteen or an old world eatry. Dont be disheartened by the looks of it. You need to sit down and order anything from the menu(which might not be offered unless you ask for it).
Though the restaurant serves vegetarian food, I am sure the non-vegetarians will not be disappointed either.
The baigan ka bharta, bhindi ki sabji, raita, goobhi aalu and daal tadka. To top it all, garma - garam phulka(the typical north Indian heartland roti). Dont forget to order a Chaass or Mattha, its truly amazing.
And dont forget to have a chilled sweet kheer(prepared with rice and mice) as a dessert.
The delicious food will remind you freshness of a north Indian kitchen.
I would recommend it to all who love north Indian food to visit this place. Its surprisingly light on your pocket too.
Happy Eating.
This one is not for the fine dining connoisseur, rather the food buffs.
