Travel Wisely

You know where you want to go and now you have to decide what mode of transportation you want to use. Once you do that you can compare prices and what services you get for those prices and make your choice from there. The more flexible you can be on your travel times the better the deal you will get.

For example when touring by bus if you book two weeks in advance you will get a lower fare. Airlines have red eye flights so if you don’t mind flying in the middle of the night at the last minute you can get a really good bargain.

There are also sites online to earn flyer miles and this can help with your cost.

If traveling by car make sure you have insurance to cover break downs or car troubles and have your car checked over before leaving.

Now you have decided where you are going, how you are going to get there and have settled on the way you are going to get there and checked everything out and in cases of air travel and so on you have booked your flight.

You need to check hotel prices and make sure that you have reservations made. Do not wait until you get there or you may not have a place to stay. When booking a room ask what you get for the price of the room and exactly what facilities are there so you know you are getting some thing you want.

Now you also have to take some money with you for little expenses that have to be paid in cash but I recommend other than that using your charge cards or travellers checks so that you are not carrying a lot of cash on you.Make sure you have all the information needed in case these are lost or stolen to report them right away.Travellers checks can be replaced quickly and you won’t have to worry about having no money to use.

The cash that you do carry always carry on you, never leave it or anything of any value in your room. I recommend if a lady is travelling with a man that he carries the money and instead of putting his wallet in his back pocket that it be in a front or side pocket which makes it harder for some one to lift from you.

Try not to act like a tourist and fit in with the crowd. People who are looking to spot tourists for the purpose of stealing from or conning them will spot you easily if you are dressed like a tourist for example. Dress the way people do where you are going.

Make a list of what you need to pack to take with you and check to make sure you have everything before leaving.Often we pack way more than what we will need.

Anything that you have with you, that you will need to get to before arrival at your destination put in a carry on bag.

If travelling by bus make sure you take on something to eat and drink as they do not usually stop often or for a long period of time.

If you plan every detail out, get the best prices, make your reservations you will be all set to have a worry free trip.
