Gonna Build Me/Have Built Me A Website...

It’s--going by time in the Anderson, Indiana USA area--into the last thirty minutes of March 1, 2006, and I’m getting more and more excited by the minute. Why? Because the website I’m building is closer to being public-ready than it was, say, a week ago. What I’m writing here is going to be an account of my website lasting from this point until the first day of summer, so come back often and watch it grow...

March 1, 2006

For a long time, I’ve been thinking of a website to beat all websites I’ve ever designed on my own--a kind of catch-all website.

Last year, I started to build one with an e-pal (long-distance and using IM to communicate), but she was having health problems and I was having computer problems, so we eventually put it on the back-burner.

One of these days, we’ll probably finish it, but just not at the moment.

Anyway, I was moving into a site called MySpace.com when I received a message there from a guy named Nathan who was looking for people to earn money online with him and wondered if I would be interested.

A lot of these ’’Make money online’’ things are nothing more than people selling a formula to other people to make money online, and that seems rather pointless to me.

I don’t know about you, but I just sleep better if I’m selling a product that truly IS useful and not just some kind of pyramid scheme.

It turned out that what I would be involved in was directing people in the right direction to learn about how to invest in a reasonably-priced domain, and this sounded like a plan to me--so did the domain!

For ten dollars per month (after a week’s trial), I would be in a domain where I could design a website of a maximum of ten pages (Yeeeessssssssssss!!!) and could have as many as ten e-mail addresses (So far, I have two there, but I’m sure I’ll be thinking of more in the future). Besides that, I could put affiliate banners from the company onto my website (and anywhere else I wanted to put them such as part of a blog template, an e-mail sig-block, etc.), and I would get a dollar per month for anyone who signed up as referred by me--and, not only that, but I would also get a dollar per month for five levels of downlines!

This means that there’s a very good chance, to say the least, that I’ll not only have the monthly rent of my domain easily paid for but, also, will have some kind of income even beyond that.

First, however, I need to finish the website.

I’ve been very busy with a lot of things, and the website I’m building is very intricate, so it’s taking a lot of time. I’m very anxious to have up public-ready, because I’m now able to see everything I’ve decided to include in this website, and it’s just going to be super.

But more on that in my next entry.

And when will that be?

When I finish the website, of course...

March 2, 2006

This is just a mini-update...

Because I’ve had so many other things to do today, I’ve not really touched the website, itself. However, that doesn’t mean that I’ve had my mind totally off of it. In fact, I’ve been finding more and more people and items I went to include!

That’s about it for now, so the next time I add something really WILL be when the website is up-and-going...

P.S. Yes, it actually IS going to be up before hell freezes over! LOL

March 6, 2006

Hey!

Guess what happened before March 5, 2006 ended at midnight Anderson, Indiana time almost two hours ago!

Give up!?!

The main part of my website got finished (as in being public-ready)!

Of course, I still have some, behind-the-scenes work to do on it as well as some construction concerning several of its extensions. But the thing is that it’s now up, absolutely beautiful, and I’ve already made it my homepage because it speaks of convenience to me!

Check it out, and see if you can find MouthShut.com there. I’ll give you a clue: It’s on the page about writing, and you click another link to get to it.

Need to get back to noising my website around, so I’ll talk atcha later!

March 9, 2006

Actually, it’s very early in the day of March 9--as in a little over a couple of hours after midnight--but I was up and wanted to share what’s been happening with the website and me.

I discovered that, for some reason, no link to my website is showing up at this time on my profile page, even though there’s an option for it to do so. Must be some kind of site gliche.

Anyway, I noticed that others had left URLs in their profile information, so I decided that it would be okay to include it there. If it isn’t, I can always erase it. And I can also take it out of here if necessary. For now, though, here’s the URL:

https://ainsleyjophillips.ws/

I hope you’ll check it out.

I finished getting free counters for all of the secondary portions of my website (that is, blogs that branch out from the ten main pages). On the last page of my website, you’ll find a link to a place called Amazing Counters--highly recommended. They don’t cost me anything, because they’re maintained by companies who want to be advertised with a link. The companies pay a very reasonable (I have no idea how much, as I’m not advertising through them) fee to be put into a waiting list to have their links shared whenever someone orders a site counter. I bet I’m making a lot of companies very happy campers with all of the counters I’ve been ordering.

I could write an entire review on the counters, alone! Likely, I will!

Anyway, I now have counters for every last one of my blogs. YAY! Plus, a counter on the first page of my website. So far, I’ve gotten 84 unique visitors, and I’m thrilled! Several people have signed my guestbook as well and told me how much they like my website!

Well, that pretty much sums up things for now! Just wait until I really get things going...
