What comes to your mind when u visit Indiatimes.com?
One word - UGLY. And boy is it ugly!
I cringe everytime I take a look at that site.
( especially being a web designer myself)
I mean whoever designed this site huh!?!?
Look at their publications and look at the portal!
Woe is me! Woe is me! .
A short analysis.
The Header -
Do something people! . make it pleasant . please!
The Ads -
Aaauuugh! . wake up Indiatimes! . why do those ads look good
on the newspaper and downright dirty on the portal?
Asthethics be damned? . is that how u wish to sell ur ware?
Why wud I buy anything from the site if it turns me off completely?
The Channels on the left(the menus)
Oh why oh why do we need to see ALL of them!(MOAN!)
I mean look at it guys! . All there is 6 MAIN LINKs on the left
(i.e - Shop, Classified, Communicate, News, Entertainment and City Guide)
Now all they had to do was have these 6 links and give them a simple drop
down menu. But nO! . they want EVERYTHING ON DISPLAY!(EL - Yucko!)
The news -
errr . Where is the news? . Rediff updates faster than you!

The email facilty -
