Hotel Van Vihaar at Dudhni(Dadra & Nagar Haveli). We Selected Dudhni as our Family holiday destination because we wanted to try out some offbeat place.
When we arrived at Dudhni the evening was about to set in & Van Vihaar was the only Hotel near the lake no other Hotel was in the vicinity. We checked in as we didn’t have any option but though Dudhni is a very remote place still we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Van Vihaar.
The person at the reception gave us a good package for 3 rooms, the food was good. It had ample parking space & huge open area for children to play. It does not have any swings or benches, there was no garden.
The lake which is nearby has local folks providing boat rides. Over all Van Vihaar is a quiet place if you are looking for an outing just to sit back & relax / chill out.
Amenities
Rooms are spacious & comfortable but average looking, no bath tubs in the bathroom.
Geyser in one of the rooms was not working properly the staff provided hot water in buckets.
The Hotel does not have any swimming pool, bar is located near the lobby & the charges were reasonably good.
Service
The staff was polite & always responded to calls immediately.
Over all the service like housekeeping was good.
Advice to the travelers
Hotel Van Vihaar in Dudhni is for people who just want lay back & relax, a romantic / Honeymoon.
This is not for people who are looking for adventure or water sports.
Make sure that you reach Dudhni in Daylight & come out in daylight as the route is hilly has sharp bends with no street lights.
There is an observation point with a well maintained garden on the way to Van Vihaar, be sure to halt & enjoy the view. Make sure you carry all necessary items with you as the area does not have any stores & the area is isolated after 7pm.
Ensure that you carry ample amount of Mosquito & insect repellant if you want to take an evening / night stroll.
Even the passage outside the rooms is full of Mosquitoes & insects.
