Call Centers, the sound of the exact words makes people see fun, money, enjoyment, leisure you name it and they all start having ideas in their heads.
As they say you can’t see heaven until you die, so here is the real truth about call centers and the way they work and how they make you work.
The easy money is not that easy, shifts that will take the juice out of you, normal shift timings start at around 7:30 or 7:45, till 6:30 in the morning.
They expect you to be energetic and on your toes all the time, Hell ya we will be if we are always sleeping during the day and working at night, alternate holidays, and extra shifts mandatory.
If you are in the technical field then you should always be updated and keep up with the people on the floor, one mistake and you are back to training, 3 times training and you are out, they don’t even shift you to a different process.
Some BPO’s allow you to wear casual’s everyday, some make it compulsory that you wear formals on weekdays and casuals on Saturdays and Sundays!
You get 2 breaks of 15 minutes and 1 break of 30-45 minutes depends on the flow of calls coming.
There is always competition on the floor, between teams and team members of who will be the best, that really give you a lot of mental pressure.
And even if you leave the company you can expect you remaining due’s to come in say about 2-6 months time.
