I perfectly agree with mailme.anons comments regarding GenieKids. I was one of the first persons to send my kids to Geniekids. For the pure reason that I was always keeping tab on Mr. Ratneshs articles and was much impressed about his views on child development.
My kids are very shy and distant. So I was looking for a place where they would be put into play/activities which would help them come out of that atleast a lil. So with this hope I enrolled them in some activity in genie kids. This happened two times in a period of over two years.
Everyday I was expecting that they would show me something they had done in Geniekids that I could say WOW. Was spending fairly good amount of money for each weeks program. But I was very very disappointed that my kids just went and came back, with nothing special to talk about.
I couldnt even say they learned anything. So, what I believed is that if kids are basically smart Geniekids is good for them, otherwise even Ratnesh cant do anything about it, though he speaks about multiple intelligence and so. Usually people who run a kid centre will be very attached to them and talk to each of the kids very fondly.
I was so surprised that Ratnesh was very serious while handling them, as if in school. Thats not whats expected in an activity centre. The person should be able to relate to the child and control him/her in that manner. I am so disappointed that I have now stopped Geniekids for my kids and are taking them for sports camps which has helped them grow better.
