Since this was one the most hyped movie of 2008 I had great expectations and am glad that it lived up to it. I have watched both the Tamil and Hindi movie so feel I am in a better position to compare this movie. Though I am not a Amir Khan fan I really feel that he has done justice to his role to a certain extent.
It is really annoying to see a lot of users mentioning this movie as a B grade movie or giving it a single star I am amazed and doubt if they have really seen the movie before they put in such stupid reviews. This movie is far ahead in the league when compared to a lot of useless romantic flicks till date in Bollywood. One thing that could have been better in this movie is the music and the choreography.
Amir
Amir should be applauded for his sincere efforts in making the 8 pack abs unlike other heroes(SRK) who took shortcut to achieve the same and now spoiling the charm on his face. Performance wise Amir is OK. Although the role is an incomparable one I still feel Surya did fit into this even better.
Asin
A superb actress she is and has done marvellous job in this movie. She is simply stunning and innocent too. She shows tremendous potential as an actress who could give a weak knee to all the current super heroine in bollywood. I am falling short of words to describe her. Simply mind blowing . But it was really very hard to see her get the blow in her head from Ghajini.
Jiah
As usual there were not much expectations from her and so her stone faced expressions was no surprise to me.
Ghajini the Villain
Is simply superb in both the versions and I doubt if this role could have been done by anyone else.
Although the climax has been changed it looks even better in Hindi. The part where Amir in between forgets why he was beating up Ghajini’s men was nearly perfect. I would say this movie is a feather in Amirs Cap.
All you people who find this an average movie atleast have the guts to appreciate it for its unusual story.
