Unbelievable act from Amir

Hearing the overly hyped Ghazini , along with its pros and cons , I decided to see it on 31st eve , thought to give it a reason to make it special indeed. Honestly speaking , after watching , appreciating and loving Memento , I wasn’t expecting much out of it .... In fact I just went to see it for seeing sake. Here is what I have to say about how the movie went.

Plot-

As I have mentioned before in my Memento’s review , it is definitely copied to a great extent from it. A guy who falls in love at first sight with a girl , the girl gets murdered and in the same accident , he looses his long term memory forever ... His short term memory and his revenge for the culprit is what the movie all about . This is something which by now , most of the MS members have said , nut now I am going to pour what I felt.

Pros of the movie-

  1. Aamir’s brilliance and CONTRAST character , one- of a simple , soft and cute romantic lover , who bears all the stupidity of his girlfriend and the other of a roaring lion , who is ready to tear his villian into pieces and anybody who comes along the way. Only Amir could have done such a role.

  2. Asin , who despite being beautiful and pretty , has acted very well too. She is expressive , emotional and cute . She has performed the role absolutely like no other actress could have had.

  3. The romance between Kalpana( Asin) and Sanjay ( Amir) will make you fall in love with them. Its so natural and unique , both in its own way. You will start sympathizing for their pain and emotions.

  4. Jiah portrayed in a totally different role , although not much time to spend on screen , still , she has done justice.

  5. With Amir in a movie , expectations get multi-folded already , I agree this was not as good as DCH , RDB , TZP or Lagaan , but in its own way , its wonderful and able to leave its footprint.

Cons of the movie-

  1. Unnecessary songs of Asin and Jiah.

  2. Movie is too loud and violent ... to an extent , have heard people finding it unbearable and leaving the theater.

Most Touching Scenes of the movie -

  1. When Sanjay (Amir ) conversations for the first time with Kalpana (Asin ).

  2. The whole sequence of Kalpana hiding in the closet calling Sanjay , when she has gunde in her house and Sanjay is standing at her house’s door and she is unable to attend him , only to ask for help , whereas he forgot his cell in his car and later calls her back and runs for her safety....Only to find her dead. The moment she dies and Sanjay gets hit and cries out of helplessness...will make you cry .

  3. When Amir chases Jiah and later forgets what he was doing and interrogates her .

4.His pain , agony and cries , all throughout the movie will make you feel it too.

  1. The climax when he forgets again and his villain standing right in front of him , pretends to be his friend and he stands clueless.

  2. The fight when he is crying with tears and beating the villain.

All the actors have done a brilliant job in this flick . I must admit that I am a hardcore fan of SRK but I can not get over with what I saw.

Agreed the movie wasn’t that of Amir’s standards coz we don’t expect violence from him , but the theme and the plot , if gets true in real to such a person , is not impossible as well . It needs guts to copy and despite it being copied from South and inspired from Memento , I would still say its one NOT to be missed.

Above all , a movie which should be watched by those who have ever loved someone truly OR are Amir’s fans OR want to see how a movie can be made with different shades of a single person OR wants to experience BRILLIANCE / REAL acting.
