I’ve explored most of the resorts and hotels in and around Ghatshila, and here’s my take:
1-Aranyak Resort: Situated deep in a village, far from Burudih Lake. The road is poor, and the rooms are overpriced with rude service.
2-Ratmohona Resort: Best for a true resort experience. Beautiful location next to Subarnarekha River, though food is also overpriced.
3-Muktadhara Resort: Decent, but not as scenic as Ratmohona. Price and food are again a bit steep.
4-Ramakrishna Mission Math: Best option for budget stays—clean, peaceful, and very affordable at Rs. 500/day ( including food) , but booking in advance is a must.
5-Hotel Bibhuti Vihar: My top pick! Spacious rooms, affordable, and a good spot next to NH-33. Bargain for a deal.
6-Local Eats: K.K. Dhaba near SDO office serves excellent Punjabi food at reasonable prices.
Don’t miss Muktinath for a great sunset, and visit the Maa Vaishno Devi temple nearby for a peaceful experience. Ghatshila’s charm lies in its serene environment, beautiful rivers, and hidden spots like the Sunday Haat.
