The Gillette Company is located in Boston, MA and introduced its first made a version of the Gillette Daisy in 1975. It has been my razor of choice for many years for a few reasons: it is inexpensive, readily available, and does the job intended.
Price - ten razors can usually be purchased for less than $5 and the package of five razors for about $2.99.
Availability- every drugstore, supermarket and discount store in my area carries these razors, as well as many online stores.
Functionality- the Gillette Daisy helps to avoid nicks and cuts since it has a moisture strip next to the blade. It is lightweight, yet sturdy, and the handle has ridges, making it easy to hold onto while in the shower.
These are definitely geared towards the women’s market since they are bright pink and have the name ’’Daisy’’. I have tried other razors, but I really missed the moisture strip and the protection it gives me.
