I started using the Venus (made by Gillette) as soon as I heard about it.It is a 3 blade triple action razor. I have to say at this point, it is definently the best razor I have ever used! This razor is so nice to use in the shower. It’s handle is rubber to make gripping a whole lot easier. The Venus’s head action is revolutional. The head moves with the curves of your body, so there is a lot less chance of cutting yourself! If you are anything like me... using a straight razor (especially, on my knees), I always seem to cut myself! Not with the new Venus. It makes my shaving quicker, easier, and doesn’t dry out my legs like some of the others I have used. The new Venus is a little more expensive, but if you look at the big picture, it actually costs less in the long run. The razor itself costs around $7.99, and the refills are around $5.99 for two of them. My hair on my legs has always been very thick and coarse, so I would go through the cheaper razors about every two weeks. The new Venus razor I only replace the head every three months... and that is shaving every other day.(that is quite a difference, from every two weeks.) I recommend the new Venus razor to anyone who would choose a straight razor over an electric. If your hair is thick and coarse like mine, it can be such a pain and quite expensive to keep replacing razors, and for those who’s hair is thin and not so coarse, will get double the use out of the Venus.
