As part of our Annual Vacation, my wife and I with our two children(8 and 4) travelled to Mysore and stayed at the Ginger Hotel, part of the Tata group of Hotels. An excellent hotel I should say, with a cosy room, nice facilities and completely lets the guests be on their own.
The check in was a breeze - wish they could consider 12 noon to 12 noon timing for train travelling guests. The manager Gajendra is a gem and he was so attentive to our needs. So were the reception staff. The trolleys ensured we needed no help from waiters(save your tips for spending on yourself).
The room was well stocked and on calling up room supplies, we got enough supplies replenished - both bath linen and coffee/tea/water etc. The LCD TV and the Fridge are nice and fine working. The kids freaked out on their channels while the Coffee Day outlet in the ground floor served good enough food.
The food served in the eatery(apart from the Coffee Day outlet) was awesome. The breakfast spread that we had was stunning to say the least. We were so full trying our hands on the spread offered that we had to have late lunches.
The hotel is a great deal if you want to visit Mysore - it offers Wi Fi connectivity, ATM services, Cybercafe, Gym, Laundry, Vending Machine and priced very attractively.
