My son Vivek is finishing his 2 puc , cet and aieee coaching with Giraffe this month. and I was pleasantly surprised by his performance. He had always been a good student till 10 th , having scored 94% in 10th. But in 1 pu his grades dropped drastically . I always thought good students didn’t need coaching. but his 1 pu marks was a wake up call.
Reluctantly I put him in the 2 pu coaching. But surprise, surprise, his performance has improved wonderfully .in the mid year. He actually got 97% and topped his college. I am now awaiting his 2 pu performance this coming April and if he maintains his momentum, I think he should do wonders. I think, the personal attention he is given especially by his centre coordinator , has proved a turning point. I think parents play a very important role, and I was kept regularly informed by the coordinator, about his ups and downs and this helped me help him with the motivation required. My daughter in IX th isn’t doing too well and I plan to put her in their X th program , even though its pretty far from our home.
After all, the little extra effort I have to take to pick and drop her is well worth it. And I hope she does as well.
