Just wanted to share my experience with Girias Consumer Durable Retailer, so that you’ll don’t make the mistake that I did. I had ordered a Whirlpool double door refrigerator from Girias, 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore on 4th April 2014 (Friday) and I was promised a delivery of the same at my residence by next day (Saturday).
The salesperson who attended to me Mr. Mansoor (9741867869) was very courteous before I ordered the refrigerator. I had complete trust in him and Girias hence didn’t suspect any foul play in the transaction. Hence, me and my wife were expecting the device to be flawless when it was delivered to our residence.
As promised, the refrigerator was delivered to my address on Saturday 5th of April by 4pm and the happiness of getting a new refrigerator home lasted only few minutes as we were into shock to see the Old demo/display piece sent to us instead of a new one. When I called up Mr. Mansoor and informed about the same, he informed that the display piece which they had at the showroom has already dispatched to another customer and mine is a new one. I went to the showroom and when I spoke to the Manager there I was into one more shock as the manager without any hiccups says that it’s a common practice to send out the demo devices to the customers. And he had no answer to my question – “In that situation is the Customer is informed about the same?”
As of now I have cancelled the order and have booked the same refrigerator from a different vendor and waiting for a refund from Girias. Will get an update about the refund by Wednesday.
So please be careful while buying stuff from Girias as they are known to do this on a regular basis.
