Girish Chandra Dey & Nakur Chandra Nandy situated at Hatibagan is one of the oldest sweet shops of Calcutta. This heritage shop is over a century old. The shop doesn’t offer more than 25 different varieties of *sandesh*, however, each is better than the other. The remarkable ones to watch out for are the *jol bhoro, choco balls, butterscotch sandesh*. Decently priced at Rs. 10-30/- per piece. As they say, don’t judge a book by its cover. Similarly don’t judge this shop by its looks, as it still looks like it did decades ago.
