Ghazi -A- BAD to say the least

I had gone with my friend to the pacific Ghaziabad Globus & the experience there was Ghazi-a-BAD to say the least.


The first thing that struck me was how ill positioned things were compared to the other outlets in Delhi & Shipra.


There were no decent clothes there, I am not aware if someone follows up o the inventory there but not only were there no good designs, there were no sizes available in most. They seemed to have one size in every style & one or two other odd sizes e.g. if there were tops in M size in a particular design you’d get only M’s. rarely would you get a S or L.Which brings me to the sales assistants . Most of them walked like they were doing you a favor just being there. They wore the dress but it looked like they had been wearing it for straight 3 days. They were busy playing around amongst themselves, ( I heard two guys cursing like sailors & two ladies talking about how my husband would be waiting when I get home. She had the traditional chooda to tell that she was newly married.) I don’t expect them to stop being humans when they are in the store but they can be decent AT LEAST in font of customers.


The reason I had gone is to buy something because my friend had returned something at Shipra Globus & they had said the particular style would be available in Pacific. Now we finally decided to buy SOMETHING because the return coupon/slip was to expire & the attitude of the assist staff already told us that this Globus was DIFFERENT. Anyways we went to the payment counter Magically one Assistant came( I guess to make his killing in sales commission, as there was no one around when we wanted help, we’d seen him loiter around but he was not to be found while we were looking for someone to ask for a different size)& when presented with the slip we were told that there was a Rs 200 odd balance that was left in our shopping. We politely told the sales clerk that we did not want to shop it now as it was getting late & that he could give us a IOU of same value, he told us that the shopping had to be done in ONE go, when we said that we don’t want to now as it is getting late(it was after 9:30 in the night) he said that if we don’t shop the 200 would lapse. We told him that this condition of spending the EXACT amount in ONE go is not mentioned on the returns slip he said it is a store policy. At this point we decided to ask for the store manager. The person who came in explained the same thing but n a much ruder tone this time( I guess he was trying to sound authoritative) When we explained the same thing over that we don’t have the time to shop now & we are NOT asking for a cash refund, just store credit for the same he said that it can not be done. This is where I muttered that this place is GLORIFIED SHANI BAZAAR( The little Saturday market, & even there the trader will treat you with respect) the supervisor named Atul had the cheek to say well that is your opinion & I cannot help you with that.(Way to go Globus) Now I had to raise my voice that we were neither told of this condition while getting our initial refund, nor is it printed anywhere on the return slip, he simply said OK & went off. 5 minutes later someone came with a store credit card for the same & we left, but not without having a bitter shopping exp. If I had not been to Globus outlets in Delhi & shipra, I would have decided never ever to go in Globus again.


And as for the Globus feedback system, I’d mailed them the complaint at the ONLY email address I could find, & the mail had bounced back after being in Que for 3 days, the feedback system on the site does not woork too. Best of Luck trying to get to them.
