I travelled from Delhi to Pune on Go Air Flight number G8-361 on 30th October. I checked in at Delhi airport with two baggage. There were baggage tags attached from my previous flight and I asked the check-in counter guy to remove the old tags. He very casualy said do not worry about that. I have seen all other airline people removing old baggage tags. Anyhow I boarded the flight and the flight landed about 40 minutes late. All this while the captain kept blaming Delhi and Pune airport conditions for the delay.
On reaching Pune I went to collect the baggage from the belt. The baggage took very long to come and once it came I could not find one of my bags. I contacted the ground service staff in the end to enquire about the baggage. She took it very casually and said it must have been misplaced at Delhi airport and you will get it by evening. I can clearly understand that it must have happened due to two tags attached to my bag. The ground service lady took all the details of my flight and baggage and gave me a copy of the form that she filled. She assured me of calling back in the evening but I did not get the call. Next day when I contacted her she said she will find out the details and call back in the evening. Again this lady did not call back. The same thing happened several times over 2 week period.
It is now more than 2 weeks and neither have I received the bag nor the compensation. Their online feedback system is as casual as they are in person. No followups are done and even writing mails does not give any response. The Pune airport staff deserves special mention as the least professional of all the airlines that I have been travelling in the last 10 years
Henceforth I would rather pay more and fly with other airlines to be on time with all the baggage intact.
