The Giver A great story

The book Giver is about a utopian society where everything is in black and white. Chief Elders, who are like members of a city council, who chose the jobs for everyone at the age of 12. The jobs include recreation manager to nurturer. There are a ton of jobs for the 12 year olds. They have to work their for the rest of their adult lives. The town they live in is called a community, with about 7 other communities around it. There are no rapes, no homicides, or suicides.

Everyone gets along with everyone. The main character is Jonas. He lives in a family unit. His birth mother is not his guardian in this book.Jonas is assigned the Receiver of Memory at the Ceremony of 12. He has to receive all of his communitys memory. He receives the memories from the former receiver, who is called the Giver of Memory. He gives Jonas all kinds of memories from happy ones to very, very, very, very, sad memories, like war. These memories only occurred in Elsewhere, which is a far away land where everything is in color and different. After Jonas hears about Elsewhere he wishes he could be there. If you want to know what happens buy the book.

The main characters are Jonas, the Giver, Mother, Father, his sister Lily, Fiona, and Asher. These characters are really the only characters that really have any part of this book. The main character is Jonas. He is on every page of this book or mostly every page of this book. He has a lot of friends and is very popular among his peers. You need to get this book. All in All in all this book was amazing. This book was great. It has a wonderful ending, middle, and end. If you like science fiction books this book is for you. I hope you enjoy reading this wonderful thought out story. I liked how Jonas made a difference in his community. That really was a good part of the book. It was an emotional rollercoaster. It was filled with excitement at every page and turn of a page. Thanks a lot for reading my review.
