Goa - Pearl of Orient

She is beautiful, she is exotic, she is fun and I have fallen in love with her. No, I am not talking about ther recent Miss World. I am talking about Goa.....the youngest state of India.

Continuous beaches are interspersed with open grasslands, low hills, green valleys, and well watered ravines; tropical vegetation merges with cashew and teak plantations; coconut groves with paddy fields.

Goa has a flavour unlike the rest of the country, a fusion of Indian and European cultures over decades. European style central town squares teem with motley crowds of Indian bazaars; little whitewashed churches and soaring edifices from the Portuguese era stand with beautifully maintained Hindu temples.

An agreeable climate, a unique cuisine, amiable people, a vibrant folk culture manifests in vigorous konkani folk songs and languid dances remnant from Portuguese India, a rich musical tradition, Christianity and Hinduism, fairs and feasts are part of Goa’s unique identity.

I would recommend Goa for many different reasons. You can travel to Goa with your friends and chill out or you can go with your family and have great a time or you may go for a peaceful yet colourful Honeymoon. It suits everyone.

It is also the paradise for gastronomical delights from all over the World and India. Food connoisseurs may relish at different restaurants serving various cuisines and delicacies.

It also offers a lot of activities for action and adventure. It has water sports activities like Parasailing, Water Skiing, Windsurfing, Jet Speed Boats and lots of exciting water rides.

So next time you want some real action, sun, sand and sossegado (be chilled out)- YOU KNOW WHERE TO GO............
