The Godfather is one of the first novels I have read in my younger days. And I must admit it is also one of the classics. It tells us the story of the crime family’the Corleones’ and their legacy. The story is beautifully told without glorifying the mafia. The book will hold your attention right from the start and absorb you till the end. The trademark of a good book is a good character arc and this book has given us some of the most memorable characters in Don Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone. And it has some great dialogues. My favourite are’ I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse’ and’ Revenge is a dish best served cold’ .
Read this book and you will not be disappointed.
