If you are thinking of buying Godrej i-Series locks, think twice before spending on this expensive locks.
Godrej has outsourced its service to third parties and their response to any emergency or repair calls are very poor and pathetic.
I’m sure no one wants to be locked out of their house or keep their house without locking for any reasons. If such things happen with common locks available in the market, you can at the least call a local locksmith who will be handy with tools to help you. In this case of i-Series locks, that belong to modern age technology, the local guy is of no help to you. You will have to depend only on technicians from these outsourced service companies. You may find even the multiple outsourcing done by these companies as in PMC and PCMC. For example if you live in PMC and the service call is forwarded to PMC by Godrej, PMC service company outsources it to another PCMC service company. Too many unknown business deals among them make us run from pillar to post.
After lodging 3 complaints with their service center, I twice got reply SMS stating the work is completed, even without the visit of technician. Finally, on the third time, with many emails and phone calls a technician is expected to attend the problem now. These outsourced guys do not even keep any stock of parts and it takes weeks to get it from their main source of supply.
Considering all these hassles of going in for such a modern age lock with the tall claims of Godrej, I would recommend you to stay away from it. When it comes to after sales service Godrej is not any different from other big names in India. Godrej Locking Solutions & System sucks!
