This is one of the excellent platforms to book your hotels/flights and I always wanted to book via this portal as they had attractive offers especially the GoCash! My experience with booking flights/hotels with them was truly flawless! There were no hassles with entire booking process - booking confirmation, vouchers/tickets, payments or GoCash credit.
It takes about 10-15 minutes for the booking to get confirmed with the Airline. So, sometimes you are in doubt if all has gone well, as site shows your booking is in process.
Prices: I compared prices on various sites: MakeMyTrip, Stayzilla etc and found them to be cheapest on Goibibo ( of course considering the GoCash too) . There are also some last minute deals, once, I managed to get second night free. On the airport or hotel, there were no issues and the bookings were honored without any hassles. When booking with Goibibo, you can apply necessary available promo-code and the said cashback points are credited to your account - which you can redeem with your next booking with Goibibo. flight booking points gets credited immediately while the hotel booking points gets credited after you check-out. cash-backs are really good . This is a win-win situation business model. With cash-back, customers are getting good rebate on their next booking where as Goibibo gets additional assured business. you cannot immediately redeem entire amount of GoCash available but only certain part of it - 10% to be precise. For instance, let’s say you have Rs 1000 as balance and now if you are booking a hotel with them, you can only use Rs 100 as discount from the GoCash available. GoCash is valid for 6 months only. For instance, lets say on 1-Jan-2016 you earn GoCash of Rs. 1000 and on 1-Feb-16 you earned another Rs. 1000, then the validity of first ( Jan) GoCash will be until 30-Jun-16 and of the next ( Feb) will be until 31-Jul-16. So, in case you are booking after 30-Jan your first Rs. 1000 will be expired.( and you can only use Rs. 100 ( 10% of balance Rs.1000) .
They also have something called GoCash+ . If you cancel your bookings, all your refunds go here and the only way you claim it is by booking with Goibibo again - smart! ( If I remember well, Jabong too does the same, in case you return a product) . By doing so Goibibo ensures that you give the business back to them. Only good part is unlike GoCash, there no usage limits & this has unlimited validity. I had logged a query regarding GoCash and they were quick in responding. Actually, they had sent me a SMS asking me to write review about the hotel along with some pictures and earn Rs. 500 Gocash. There was a concern related to uploading of images, which was sorted quickly and Gocash was credite. referral program is also attractive. You sign-up on their app on your smartphone, use the unique referral code and invite a friend, if he signs up using your promo-code, you earn Rs. 200 and friend gets Rs. 1000 GoCash. I have not tried it, yet.
Overall, I have been happy booking with Goibibo and I would definitely recommend trying booking from this portal. They also offer Bus bookings, Hotels+ flights and package bookings.
