This is a continuation of my earlier review "Goibibo a Travel Services Website or a TOUT" linkhttps://mouthshut.com/review/Goibibo-com-review-npqtpmtqqrI booked a multicity international flight through https://goibibibo.com on 28/02/2013. My ticket no. is 057-3215998878-79 which was from New Delhi-Frankfurt -Los Angeles and Return flight Las Vegas-New delhi.As earlier I was planning to get my flight rescheduled, which these touts got ready to do after charging me more than Rs 14000/- so I asked their supervisor Mr Surya about the cancellation charges. He confirmed that the whole ticket can be cancelled prior to even 72 hours of the commencement of the journey for a penalty of around Rs. 10000/- .So today on 10/04/2013 I called again to cancel my ticket and the call was picked by one Mr. Vaibhav Kumar and he told me, to my utter surprise, that cancellation charges are Rs. 16900/- AN INCREASE OF RS 7000/- OVER and ABOVE of the amount told earlier by Mr. Surya.As written in my earlier review that these are touts working on behalf of prestigious travel Agents like AKBAR TRAVELS and are NON-IATA approved. I continued to argue with the agent Mr Vaibhav Kumar. He told me to to get the confirmation of cancellation charges from the web site of AIR FRANCE ( my ticket issuing airline-). Accordingly I confirmed about the cancellation charges from AIR-FRANCE call centre. The AIR FRANCE executive Divya told me that the whole ticket was refundable for a penalty of only Rs 8000/- only (the travel agent charges are extra). So why these (goibibo) touts were charging RS. 16900/- ?Again I called them and one MR. SESAL picked the call this time and I was amazed once again that he brought down the cancellation charge to Rs.10126/- and committed the refund amount of Rs.64679/- within 14 to 15 working days. I got the ticket cancelled. And now I am waiting for my new ordeal to start which is--for the refund to reflect in my credit card.I am surprised how unprofessionally this company is run.The moral of the story is that they will cheat you if you do not protest, argue and fight back( Although I am feeling cheated even now as they have charged me 2126/- more than the cancellation charge of the airline.) They were trying to pick my pocket for Rs. 7000/- more and had I not protested I would have been poorer by Rs 7000/-.So for me good bye goibibo.com for ever and those who don’t want to be cheated should never ever go to these swindlers.However, if goibibo.com processes my refund in a time bound manner, I will really appreciate it.
