TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH GOIBIBO:
I made a booking of a hotel in Khajjiar for 3 day from 21st may to 24th may, I was really excited to visit this place as this was a long awaited break for me and my wife from our hectic schedule.
So day 1 when I reached my hotel and asked them for my room they clearly told me that they do no have any booking with my name, I was shocked. Hotelier clearly said I can give you room for only one day and that too you have to pay for it as we have not received any payment from you. He was nice for providing us some space and asked us to contact goibibo.
I called goibibo customer care support and explained my horrible situation, the whole drama continued for 3 hours. After lot of discussions they(goibibo) were able to convince hotelier that the paymemt has been made and I have a booking for 3 days. Story does not end here hotelier clearly told them that he can only provide the room for 2 days and not for the third day. Goibibo person called me to confirm that you can stay here for 2 days and for the third day they will shift me to another hotel. I told them why should I shift if I have made payment for this hotel for 3 days she said please cooperate and we will try to arrange it for the third day as well and she told me that an executive from goibibo will call me tomorrow to confirm the status, I said ok and disconnected the call, so all of you can see I am having so much fun. Right?
2nd day - I was waiting for a call from goibibo which I never received, they were least bothered in what situation their customer is, meanwhile hotelier kept on insisting me to shift to another hotel in chamba for the 3rd day which is 55 kms from Khajjiar. I requested him to find a place in the same hotel he told me we can check that out tomorrow i.e. 3rd day.
3rd day - Luckily a room was early checked out by a family so hotelier asked me to take that room but I have to pay the extra for that room as cost for that room was more I said ok as I knew I do not have any support from goibibo. And guys I have still not received a call from goibibo, I cant believe they are least bothered to know of I have got the accommodation or not.
Friends if you are booking a hotel from goibibo you will receive an invoice in which they clearly mention that your booking is confirmed and you dont need to reconfirm it with hotelier its an advice dont trust them and please check it with the hotel.
So this is how I enjoyed my holiday with a thought back in my mind that I might be thrown ou of the hotel anytime.
