You may get the tickets 50 -100 Rs cheaper than on other websites, but in many cases the transaction fails and you have to undergo the pain of struggling to get your money back. I have not got my money back till now. The effort I have put in following up is worth twice the value of the money.
So even if I get back my money. So much of my time has already wasted on the follow up who is going to pay for that and the pain of follow up.
All this happened for a discount of Rs 200 which tempted me to book a ticket on GOIBIBO.
I booked a ticket on Indigo Airlines on 6th Dec from Hyderabad to Bangalore. I got a message that the transaction failed after the payment was made through net banking and money was taken from my Icici account.
I immediately contacted the helpline on 18602662222. They told me it would take at least 7 working days for me to get the money back on my account. I also sent an e-mail to travel@ibibogroup.com and got the reply that the refund would be made within 7 working days.
After waiting for 7 working days I contacted them again. Now a series of e-mail exchange followed till dec 23 2009. Then they gave me a transaction number and said the refund has been completed from their end. But I have not received the money.
After another e-mail exchange, they gave me another transaction number saying that the transaction has been completed from their end and I have to contact my bank. I have not received my money till now.
I called them on the helpline again and was explained to follow up on the e-mail which was already leading me nowhere.
I am also attaching the e-mail communication between me and IBIBO.com. The support has been kind enough to reply to all me e-mails. But the main motto refund of my money did not happen till now.
note I am not creating a complaint to get help to get back my money.
With this all I want to make consumers aware.
