Well Goibibo was a mistake! I was literally conned by Goibibo in this particular case. I booked the hotel at 9 or 9:30 AM in the morning and in the afternoon I called up the hotel to check my booking but they said there is no booking in my name. I called up Goibibo to check and they said they will process the voucher. The lady on the hotline confirmed to me that she has processed the request and spoken to WelcomHeritage group in Delhi to expedite. I immediately called up Hotel to check and the lady confirmed that the hotel has been booked for tomorrow i.e. 27th April. And I was like what.


She said yes you have made the booking for tomorrow. I said wait for a second and went back to my booking to see if she was saying true. To my surprise Yes I made the mistake. Instead of booking it for 29th April, I made the booking for 27th April. I requested the lady at WelcomHeritage if the booking can be changed to 29th April and what is the procedure. She said please reach out to your travel booking portal. Now the so called Travel Booking Portal Goibibo didn’t even bothered to listen and said that there will be no refund on the cancellation and you have to make a fresh booking.


Common 15 minutes back you haven’t sent the voucher request and now within 15 minutes you guys are saying that no refund will be made. I would anyday prefer booking it directly at the hotel rather than going through these sites which are just aggregators and don’t take any responsibility. And it is not the first time this has happened, last year also I made one booking with Goibibo wherein I booked a Service Apartment at Indirapuram and when I reached there the owner told me that the property is closed for last 1 month for renovation and this was duly informed to Goibibo. I called up Goibibo and these guys kept on saying Sorry and were apologetic and provided me with some coupon which I did used later on. But see the plight you are standing at hotel and nowehere to go. And I am pretty much sure that this review which I have posted on Goibibo will never make it to their website/portal because of moderation.
